Irv Korman
Irv Korman is a writer, theatre critic, actor, clown, magician and previous senior lecturer in the School of Communication at The University of Akron.
 
A native of Akron,Ohio (where he has lived for over sixty years), Irv has received four Communicator Awards and one Chanticleer Award for his talents as a writer, theater critic, and actor. When he isn’t teaching public speaking, working on his books, or strutting the stages of local community theaters, Irv can be found portraying one of his alter egos-Marlowe the Magic Clown (hobo clown/magician) , or Mildew the Mundane (magician).
 
Irv received both his Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Pathology and his Master’s Degree in Theater at The University of Akron. He and his wife of 42 years, Francine, reside in Fairlawn,Ohio.
